Leapchat CSR Initiative for climate change - September 2023.

The negative impact of climate change is clearly affecting lives of millions of people everyday.

In response to Derna flooding crisis, Leapchat AI collaborated with local NGO and launched AI chatbot to support people find their missing loved ones. Using WhatsApp as a communication channel, the AI estimates and match information based on database, the AI allows people to add & search for missing persons matched with name, age, location, contacts.

Final Report 2024

Leapchat's Derna Flooding AI Chatbot was selected among top 20% of AI for Good innovate for impact use cases.

Derna AI Chatbot use case supported scholar from Africa region to be part of AI for Good 2024, and where the scholar worked closely with ITU to develop and analyze AI use case of Derna AI Chatbot.
